Scenario Based Practice
As a general rule, the classroom and the actual field of healthcare can be quite different from one another. As healthcare employees it is highly important that what we have learned from the classroom is applied within our workplace. We can also practice and educate ourselves regarding certain scenarios that may arise during our time in the field.
This library of scenarios has been put together in order for you to practice and prepare yourselves for scenarios you may experience in the field.
IMPORTANT: These scenarios are focused upon BLS/ACLS guidelines as far as reacting within an emergency situation or scenario. It is important to act within your facility’s guidelines and under your supervising RN’s supervision. These scenarios are created only to educate and provide a baseline understanding of what can be done for a patient. Always be sure when you are reacting to a scenario to stay within your scope of practice, use your facilities protocols, and double check all actions with your supervising RN.
